The city features a varity of pubs of different styles – from Austrian style brew pubs (most of which produce their own beer in the micro brewery attached!) and “just regular taverns” to (more or less) typical Irish Pubs and places with a dancefloor attached.

Brew Pubs in Vienna
Fischer Bräu
Being the first pub brewery in Vienna, the Fischer Bräu offers rich pub food in healthy serving sizes and seasonal special brews (such as Sommerbier or Weihnachtsbock) as well. Very nice garden. Try the Jazzfrühschoppen on Sundays!

Bermuda Bräu
Located right in the city center in the so-called Bermudadreieck, the Bermuda Bräu features Austrian beer and down-home food. Upstairs you can even tap your on beer right on the table. The Brennerei is a popular small club in the basement.

Plutzer Bräu
The Plutzer Bräu on popular Spittelberg is a good place to wash down typical Austrian diet with a Krügerl (pint) of good beer. Outdoor patio, usually crowded in summer. Check out the rich sunday brunch buffet – definitely good value for money!

Shamrock
Searching for a bit of Ireland in Vienna? Then the Shamrock Pub is probably worth a try: a great place to hang out and have a few pints, play dart or table soccer and watch a game on large screens. Regular special events, live music, djs.

Flanagans
The interior of the genuine Irish pub Flanagans in the city center has been dismantled in Ireland, transported to Vienna and reassembled here (by the way: this pub was voted the best Irish Bar in Europe in 2004 by Expedia travel).

Disco Pubs in Vienna
Charlie P’s
Take a typical Irish pub, add a dancefloor in the basement and special drink prices for students – and you got a pretty unique party location! Seen at Charlie P’s Irish Pub (near the University at Schottentor), a popular student and expat hangout.

Down Under
A good variety of beers and regular live music can be found at the Down Under Australian Pub. Check out the party cellar, preferably on Fri or Sat night. Table soccer and darts as well as regular Erasmus student parties! Close to U4 Pilgramgasse.
